Wanderstop Delayed to Early 2025

As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for life simulators and a soft spot for character-driven narratives, I must confess my heart skipped a beat upon hearing the news about the delay of Wanderstop. The idea of following Alta’s journey from warrior to tea shop manager in a quaint, remote village was already intriguing enough, but the promise of drama arising from her struggle to adjust to this new pace of life had me hooked.

When it was announced earlier this year, Wanderstop turned plenty of heads, thanks to its promise of a cozy life sim where you manage a tea shop in a charming, remote village- but with a twist. The twist is that protagonist Alta is a former warrior struggling to get used to the pace of her tea management-centric life, with the sharp contrast between the life she used to live and the one she’s living now promising plentiful drama.

Of course, there’s been lots of anticipation for the launch of Wanderstop, but it seems we’ll have to wait a bit longer than initially thought. Originally slated for release in 2024, developers at Ivy Road have announced a delay, pushing the game back to early 2025. They’ve promised to share more details about the game before the year ends.

In simpler terms, the studio announced on Twitter that they believe Wanderstop needs a little more time to grow properly, so they’ve decided to move the release date to early 2025. They asked for your patience and promised to share updates by the end of this year.

The game titled “Wanderstop” is currently being developed for both PlayStation 5 and PC platforms. It will be published by Annapurna Interactive, an independent publishing label which has been experiencing some internal upheaval in the past few weeks, with all its staff resigning last month.
