As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the announcement of Red Dead Redemption and its expansion, Undead Nightmare, coming to PC is nothing short of exhilarating! After countless hours spent on consoles, it’s about time this masterpiece graces my PC with its presence.
Following whispers and accidental disclosures, Rockstar Games has officially revealed that the original “Red Dead Redemption” and its spin-off “Undead Nightmare” are scheduled to debut on October 29th for personal computers. You can watch the initial trailer for the PC release in the video below.
In partnership with Double Eleven, the PC version offers native 4K and 144 Hz monitor compatibility, keyboard/mouse control, Ultrawide and Super Ultrawide screen options, and HDR10. Players have the flexibility to adjust visual settings such as shadow quality and distance renderings, while taking advantage of advanced upscaling technologies like Nvidia DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0. The PC version also supports Nvidia’s DLSS Frame Generation feature.
Details will be shared soon, but we can confirm that the launch is set for the Rockstar Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store for PC platforms.
Originally released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 back in 2010, the game “Red Dead Redemption” made a return last year on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Despite falling short in certain features as per our review, Rockstar Games subsequently provided 60 FPS support for PlayStation 5 players through a post-launch update.
