Predicting CM Punk's Next Three WWE Feuds Following Bad Blood Victory

As a lifelong wrestling enthusiast, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement at the prospective matches that CM Punk is lining up for the future! The man has been through the wringer, and his victory over Drew McIntyre at WWE Bad Blood was a testament to his grit and determination.

CM Punk has cleared himself of Drew McIntyre’s challenge. In a brutal Hell in a Cell Match at WWE Bad Blood, The Second City Saint emerged victorious against the Scottish Warrior, thus concluding their three-match, nine-month long battle. Two days later on WWE Monday Night Raw, Punk stepped up to the microphone and spoke to the audience about his wounds from the grueling 31-minute fight and hinted at his upcoming plans. He suggested that he might be taking a brief hiatus but did not provide an exact duration for this break. Despite being injured, it’s reported that Punk exited WWE Bad Blood without any severe injuries.

When that moment arrives, Punk will have the opportunity, for the first time since his WWE return in November 2023, to focus on single opponents other than McIntyre.

CM Punk vs. Gunther – WWE Survivor Series 2024

Following his triumph at WWE Bash in Berlin, Punk hinted that he was prepared to aim for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. However, McIntyre delayed those intentions to engage in their third and final match at WWE Bad Blood. Now that McIntyre is out of the picture and Punk has a pinfall win over him, he can focus entirely on pursuing singles championships.

In the absence of Sami Zayn and Seth Rollins, CM Punk is currently the leading contender for the “WWE Monday Night Raw” good guy role, poised to battle WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. The scheduling works well too, as Gunther is on a path towards a confrontation with WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at WWE’s upcoming premium event, “WWE Crown Jewel”. Given that Punk needs some time to recover from his Hell in a Cell injuries, let’s give him a month off to heal and make him ready to challenge Gunther at “WWE Survivor Series” in late November.

CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins – WWE WrestleMania 41

Between November and April next year, Punk is expected to compete multiple times. However, his one-on-one feud with Gunther following their current rivalry won’t start until WWE WrestleMania 41. If Punk loses to Gunther, he will work towards gaining momentum through singles wins on WWE Monday Night Raw once the program transitions to Netflix, leading up to the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble Match. It is there that his much-anticipated WWE WrestleMania feud will begin.

At the Royal Rumble, Seth Rollins could eliminate Punk in a suspicious manner, thwarting Punk’s dream of main-eventing WWE WrestleMania once more. Both Rollins and Punk might subsequently engage in the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match en route to WWE WrestleMania 41, their growing animosity towards each other causing them both to miss out on winning the match and securing a prime spot at WWE WrestleMania 41. This tension culminates in their first one-on-one encounter during WrestleMania itself, with further encounters following on subsequent premium live events.

CM Punk vs. John Cena – WWE Money in the Bank 2025

It’s too perfect to pass up.

John Cena is planning a goodbye tour next year (2025). At a WWE Money in the Bank post-show press conference in July, CM Punk mentioned to Cena that if they were going to meet one more time, it should be at least once more at the WWE Money in the Bank event. This seems like an ideal place for their “one more time” encounter.

Punk vs. Cena was a rivalry that defined the early 2010s and quite literally changed the course of professional wrestling, and it all began at WWE Money in the Bank 2011. That event saw Punk defeat Cena to win his first WWE Championship and flee through his native Chicago crowd, seemingly leaving WWE with its prized possession. That match and that moment solidified WWE Money in the Bank as a top premium live event, as WWE has since embraced it as part of its “big five” alongside Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series.

For more than a decade now, there’s been an abundance of untold tales waiting to be shared by WWE, as its iconic figures from the past – often compared to Batman and Superman – have yet to face off again.
