Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror
Switching back to a linear design for Syphon Filter’s fifth installment, Dark Mirror, didn’t diminish its legacy in any way. On the contrary, Bend Studio managed to create more focused action sequences within intricately detailed settings, resulting in an enjoyable gaming experience from beginning to end. The inclusion of new weapons, vision modes, and stealth techniques such as shooting around corners added a sense of novelty, expanding upon the limitations of its linear structure. If you’re debating which Syphon Filter game to start with on PSP, I’d recommend Dark Mirror over Logan’s Shadow.
