Ready or Not 2 in the works with Samara Weaving returning

As a diehard horror fan who has witnessed countless chilling tales unfold on the silver screen, I can confidently say that the return of Ready or Not is music to my ears! The original film was a thrilling rollercoaster ride that left me on the edge of my seat, and I eagerly await the continuation of Grace’s terrifying journey.

Delightful update for Halloween enthusiasts: It’s been announced that “Ready or Not,” a horrifyingly fun film from the 2010s, might be back for another installment as a sequel.

As a cinephile eagerly awaiting the next chapter, I’m thrilled to share that the visionary duo, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, under their creative moniker Radio Silence, are poised to guide this upcoming sequel. The charismatic Samara Weaving will once again grace our screens with her captivating portrayal of Grace.

As a movie buff, I’d rephrase it like this: On the eve of my wedding in an opulent mansion belonging to my wealthy fiancé Alex (Mark O’Brien), I discovered that his family was part of a chilling cult with a bloodthirsty nature. Instead of exchanging vows, I found myself running for survival amidst their twisted games, leading eventually to their grisly demise.

The horror movie garnered a ‘Fresh’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes, indicating that it was generally positively received by critics. On a modest budget of $6 million, it went on to earn an impressive $57.6 million globally.

The investment’s apparent success appears to have persuaded Searchlight Pictures to approve a follow-up film. As per Deadline, the disclosure of its launch schedule is scheduled for a future time.

Star Weaving has mentioned that she and Radio Silence might be working on a sequel to the 2019 cult favorite film. In an interview with ComicBook, she expressed her enthusiasm by saying, “I’m fully committed. I believe we’re all committed, though I can’t confirm if we’ve officially sealed the deal with a blood oath, but it’s close to that point.

Although we’ve performed a symbolic gesture similar to a handshake, we didn’t cause harm to each other by cutting our hands or mixing our blood.

Lovely jubbly.

The movie is set to trace Radio Silence’s triumphant management of the 2022 ‘Scream’ reboot as well as the upcoming installment, Scream VI, where Weaving made an appearance, albeit briefly.
