As an ardent gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that Offworld’s Starship Troopers: Extermination has piqued my interest from its very inception. The blend of base-building strategy and co-op shooter gameplay is a unique proposition that I haven’t encountered in quite some time.
As a dedicated gamer, I’ve been eagerly waiting for the full release of Offworld’s Starship Troopers: Extermination on PC, and now it’s here! But the adventure continues as this base-building/co-op shooter is also making its way onto Xbox Series X/S and PS5. The developer has given us a sneak peek into their plans with an updated Living Roadmap, promising some serious performance boosts, optimizations, and quality of life improvements in Q4 2024. They’re even adding a Loadout Locker to personalize our gaming experience! Can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us!
In the first quarter of 2025, it will introduce additional features like new skills, Perks, Bug Holes, the Morita Under Barrel Attachment, and five new stages for character development. Following that, the second quarter of 2025 will bring a fresh map, a new Bug type, and Chapter 2 of the S.O.G. Solo Play Tutorial. Further details are still under wraps, so keep an eye out for further announcements and updates (with some exciting twists possibly on the way).
As a gamer, I’ve found myself in the boots of a Starship Trooper, inspired by the iconic movie that has spawned numerous adaptations, including Helldivers from Arrowhead Game Studios. In Starship Troopers: Extermination, I can gather 16 comrades to embark on colossal battlefields and obliterate swarms of Bugs. There are half a dozen classes to pick from, each equipped with unique weaponry and construction abilities that allow us to annihilate hundreds of these pests at strategic points.
