Tia Mowry Shares How She Repurposed Wedding Ring From Ex Cory Hardrict

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for personal growth and resilience, I admire Tia Mowry’s decision to repurpose her wedding bands into keepsakes for her children. It’s a poignant reminder of the love they share and a beautiful way to pass down a symbol of their family’s journey.

Tia Mowry is holding onto some special memories.

In the wake of her divorce from ex-husband Cory Hardrict after 14 years of marriage, the former Sister, Sister star shares her intentions for her wedding rings and how her children, 13-year-old Cree and 6-year-old Cairo, are part of this process.

On the October 11th episode of her show, Tia Mowry expressed, “I haven’t worn it for nearly two years now, and it feels uncomfortable to sell it. However, I have this desire to transform my wedding band into a piece that belongs to my children instead.

She went on, expressing her emotion, “I want to hand it over since it’s been the greatest present I’ve ever received. It’s been unused for so long. If someone can transform it into something new, then its beauty and purpose will be realized.

Despite the 46-year-old changing her viewpoint on passing down the ring to her children, it remains a challenging ordeal for her.

She added, “It’s sad because this is a symbol of a marriage and it’s no longer.”

However, the choice is a reflection of the former “Game” cast member’s acceptance of solitude and personal growth following her divorce, which concluded in April. For now, she mentioned that rekindling romance isn’t part of this self-discovery phase for her.

She previously shared with TopMob News that currently, it isn’t a primary concern for her. Instead, she is devoting her time to self-exploration and getting to know herself better. This period is about understanding love more deeply, discovering its true essence.

She is open to the idea in the future, though.

She mentioned that her perspective might shift within the next month or even five months down the line. As for dating, she admitted honestly that it isn’t currently on her mind at this moment.

Taking this step will be challenging for Tia, as she confessed during her reality show premiere that Cory meant everything to her.

She mentioned that she couldn’t start dating until she was 18 years old. That’s when I met Cory, and I lost my virginity at 25. Now, here goes: I dated him, lost my virginity, and then we got married! Done!

However, she’s continued to look at the positives, even during the lowest points of the breakup.

She expressed, “Currently, I find myself exposed and open in my existence, yet this is the first instance where I recognize that I possess choices. I can choose to express my thoughts freely. I can choose to be true to myself. I can choose to pursue happiness.
