Oh boy, if I could have been a fly on the wall during that taping of “The Tonight Show” with Matthew McConaughey! The man is known for his rugged good looks and charisma, but it seems he’s also got some serious oomph in those tight pants!
Matthew McConaughey knows how to just keep going when things go bloody wrong.
During a segment on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon disclosed that an Oscar-winning actor participated in his ‘Tight Pants’ routine. However, the performance was flawless until they discovered an unexpected incident involving blood.
Jimmy shared that they had an enjoyable experience doing ‘Tight Pants’ with Matthew McConaughey during a recording of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live on October 14th. Towards the end, they performed their entire skit which culminated in a staged argument. Intriguingly, at the climax, McConaughey spun around and there were bloodstains and handprints on his white trousers.
Initially, both the comedian and the actor from Dallas Buyer’s Club were puzzled about the situation. However, it was eventually Jimmy who pieced things together.
He observed and assumed there was a blister on his hand,” he went on, “The force of his vigorous slap caused a blister to burst open on his hand, necessitating us to locate snug, white trousers and redraw the sketch from scratch. The audience was taken aback.
According to Jimmy, Matthew was a good sport about the whole thing.
In the broadcast that took place in January, both Matthew (age 54) and Jimmy (age 50) donned identical black bob wigs, blue sweaters, and exceptionally snug white trousers while performing a song about the tightness of their pants. The source behind this humorous skit? That’s an interesting story to tell.
He shared with Andy that an idea had come to him in a dream, leaving him feeling deeply sorry for his dear wife, Nancy Juvonen. As they slept one night, he would suddenly wake up and jot down ideas. So, he said, “Everyone’s talking about my tight pants, about my tight pants I got my tight pants on,” before drifting back to sleep again.
He continued, “And then I go back to work and I’m like, ‘I think this is something.’”
The ‘Tight Pants’ bit has been done with Matthew, Will Ferrell and Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera.
