As a seasoned gamer who grew up with the iconic brick-shaped Tetriminos, the news of Tetris Forever has my heart pounding faster than a Level 9 Marathon! Over the years, I’ve played countless versions of this timeless puzzle game, from the original on my Game Boy to the latest iterations.
On November 12th, Digital Eclipse’s compilation titled “Tetris Forever”, featuring timeless titles from the puzzle series, will debut. This collection can be accessed on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One platforms.
Tetris Forever offers more than 15 different games, including a replica of the original Tetris from 1984 that ran on Electronika 60. Games such as Super Bombliss, Tetris Battle Gaiden, Super Tetris 3, and many others will be accessible outside of Japan for the first time. Additionally, a fresh game called Tetris Time Warp is introduced, where players transition between different periods in real time, adapting to the unique gameplay as they go.
As an avid gamer, I’m thrilled to hear that die-hard fans like myself can anticipate a museum filled with nostalgic ads, photos, and promotional materials from the past. This museum will also offer documentary featurettes by Area 5, amounting to over 90 minutes, delving into the true tale behind the creation of the original puzzler’s development.
