Sweetpea soundtrack: Full list of songs in Ella Purnell’s dark comedy series

As a seasoned movie buff who’s seen more films than I care to remember, I must say that Sweetpea has certainly left an indelible mark on my cinematic psyche. Ella Purnell delivers a captivating performance as Rhiannon, a character that’s both enigmatic and heart-wrenching. The series’ unique blend of humor, drama, and vengeance is something I haven’t encountered in quite some time, making it a refreshing change from the usual fare.

The dark comedy-drama series “Sweetpea,” headlined by Ella Purnell from Fallout, portraying a shy wallflower who unexpectedly finds herself craving vengeful killings, has been well-received by both fans and critics. The audience is captivated by the intriguing world that the show presents.

Additionally, along with Purnell, the show boasts performances from Nicôle Lecky, Jon Pointing, Calam Lynch, Jeremy Swift, and Dustin Demri-Burns. It stands out for its distinctive mood and flair.

In conversation with TopMob magazine, Purnell expressed that the series is essentially a heartwarming tale if one overlooks the murders. He further noted that his character Rhiannon, who was tormented as a child, has never truly matured beyond her youthful stages.

In an attempt to evade my tormentors, I adopted a solitary existence – eschewing activities typical of most people. I didn’t go on dates nor did I cultivate friendships; I’ve never set foot in a club. As the story unfolds, however, I begin to feel an increasing sense of power within myself. This empowerment grew stronger with each encounter where I asserted my agency, such as when I confronted and neutralized my bullies and those who dared to challenge me.

Apart from sharing that the show’s filming was “arguably the toughest production I’ve encountered – without a doubt”, Purnell also expressed that this project is “what I feel the most passionate about” among all her past endeavors.

The show’s distinctive style is reinforced by an energetic soundtrack, which includes songs from artists such as The Sugababes, Katy Perry, and Bonnie Tyler.

As a passionate cinephile, I’m curious – who else graces the soundtrack of these six captivating episodes? Dive deeper into the world of Sweetpea as we unravel the secrets behind its enchanting music selection.
