Smile 2 star was surprised by which scene made her go “stir crazy”

As a film enthusiast who has had the pleasure of attending countless premieres and behind-the-scenes productions, I can wholeheartedly say that Naomi Scott’s performance in Smile 2 is nothing short of remarkable. Her physical prowess and emotional depth are on full display as she masterfully portrays Skye Riley, a character that undergoes an extraordinary transformation at the hands of a demonic spirit.

In the terrifying follow-up to Smile, lead actress Naomi Scott delivers an energetic, action-packed portrayal of the imaginary pop star, Skye Riley.

Besides dancing vigorously in various sequences of the movie, she’s required to portray a range of physical symptoms such as retching, hyperventilating, and seizures, as her character is progressively possessed by the malevolent spirit acting as the main adversary in the series.

She replied, “It’s quite fascinating because sometimes it’s not immediately clear,” she said. “For instance, when I see a line in the script that makes me think, ‘This one looks challenging’, and then you deliver it, I find myself saying, ‘Well, alright, that was difficult but not as I expected.’ It wasn’t the most difficult, as I had anticipated.

However, she mentioned that a particular scene where she had to shoot inside a freezer posed a significant hurdle for her.

What’s stored in the freezer seems quite hard… if something is kept there for approximately four days, it essentially becomes very frozen. Is that clear to you?

Everyone seems to be going a bit stir-crazy lately. It turned out to be much tougher than I had anticipated, and I didn’t quite expect it to be as challenging as some of the experiences I’ve had at the hospital.

Sometimes it’s not immediately clear, but whatever that was really challenged me for various reasons. I suspect that situations involving rapid, shallow breaths make things tough for me since I tend to feel dizzy. So, dealing with heavy breathing and related issues can be quite a struggle.

Recently, it was shared that Lukas Gage, a colleague of Scott’s, became quite distressed during the filming of a particular scene and ended up vomiting on set. We were curious to know if Scott had ever encountered anything similarly challenging while working on the project.

Instead, she mentioned that she felt a distinctly unique emotion while viewing certain graphic scenes within the movie.

She expressed, “I’ve recently found myself remarking on my deep affection for both the artistry involved in various tasks and the incredible skill and dedication displayed by others in their professions.

Similarly, just as our skilled prosthetics specialist Jeremy handled it, when Lucas encountered such an injury where his face was disfigured, it was all about applying prosthetics and some artificial blood.

I’m observing it on the screen, and I find myself exclaiming, ‘This is stunning!’ To put it simply, it leaves me in awe.
