As a dedicated follower who grew up with the Barkers and Combs being household names, I find myself in the middle of this rather confusing situation. On one hand, Landon Barker seems to have made an innocent mistake by attending a party that some perceived as insensitive. However, on the other hand, he has shown maturity and responsibility by addressing the backlash head-on and clarifying his involvement (or lack thereof) in the matter.
Landon Barker clarifies things following his recent appearance at a party with illuminated baby oil containers.
The child of Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler responded to criticism on social media about his attendance at a party, which some commentators believed was mocking the sex trafficking case involving Sean “Diddy” Combs.
A video posted on social media shows Landon, who recently celebrated his 21st birthday (October 9), laughing with friends at a nightclub in West Hollywood. The entertainment staff brought out bottles of baby oil, which some observers think was symbolic of items taken during a raid of Diddy’s homes by federal agents.
In a photobooth snapshot, it was evident that the singer attended a birthday party, which was referred to as being “organized by Landon Barker and companions.
Nevertheless, Landon clarified that he wasn’t linked to the baby oil incident, stating in a TikTok video on October 15th, “I want to clear up some misunderstandings by admitting that there are rumors circulating about a themed birthday party I supposedly hosted.
“First off, I’ve not had a birthday party,” he continued. “My birthday party is next week.”
Originally attending the “Meet the Barkers” event, he later disclosed that he had been extended an invitation to the party by a club promoter. Landon mentioned that he and a companion were dining at Nobu when they felt compelled to enjoy a night at a club. Consequently, his friend contacted the promoter to arrange the outing.
In my fervor, I recalled the moment when the club promoter casually invited, “Hey, there’s a birthday bash happening tonight. Fancy joining us?” He even sweetened the deal by offering, “I can secure us a table and a bottle for the night!
To clarify, I’d like to dispel any rumors suggesting that I intentionally coordinated everyone to wear white, a style often associated with Combs’ events. During our evening together, it just so happened that many chose to dress in this color scheme.
For many individuals, formal wear typically consists of a white shirt paired with black trousers, as expressed by the musician in a subsequent TikTok post. At the event, which was a sophisticated dinner gathering, attendees simply removed their jackets to stay comfortable.

As soon as he got to the club, Landon mentioned he was confused since he didn’t spot the baby oil bottles right off the bat.
He remembered that all he could clearly notice was a different table with illuminated bottles being set up, the containers having lights inside them which made it difficult for him to discern their contents. However, his assumption was that they were serving tequila.
Landon said he only realized what they were when the club workers brought the bottles to his table.
He declared, “I never touched the bottle, nor did I approve of it.” Instead, he explained, he attended a party to celebrate his birthday but unfortunately found himself in a tricky predicament.
Furthermore, Landon denied the rumors that he enforced a dress code requiring everyone to wear white, similar to what Combs was famous for at his events, during their evening together.
The musician, who wore a white top at the occasion, stated in a subsequent TikTok post that for many, formal wear consists of a white shirt paired with black trousers. He added that it was a high-end dinner gathering, and since everyone removed their jackets, the atmosphere felt more casual.
