Throne & Liberty: How to Farm 6F Syleus’s Abyss Contracts | Magic Tome, Soul Brazier, & Head Shaman

As a seasoned Throne & Liberty player with countless hours under my belt, I must say that the latest addition to the game – the sixth floor of Syleus’s Abyss – has been a thrilling challenge! The contracts for this floor can be obtained from Sundered Isles’ merchants or by stumbling upon them in the open world.

After some time, areas on the map once considered off-limits in certain game servers are now becoming accessible in Throne & Liberty. One of the most recent additions to become available is the topmost level of Syleus’s Abyss, which allows players to accept contracts that involve visiting this location. To assist you with these new tasks, here’s a brief guide!

Initially, if you’re unsure about the location where you can find contracts leading to Syleus’s Abyss (6F), simply visit any town that hosts a Sundries Merchant. They offer an item known as the Allied Resistance Forces Contract Scroll II Laslan & Stonegard.

Upon opening one of these items, you’ll find various scrolls related to contracts, such as the contract for Syleus’s Abyss. If you’re planning on farming these, it would be beneficial to rearrange or modify them until you obtain objectives that require you to defeat Demonhoof mobs.

Keep in mind that these items only allow for a purchase of six per week, so it’s not possible to accumulate them freely. Be sure to check with one of our Sundries Merchants regularly if you ever forget when your inventory resets.

Heading to Syleus’s Abyss 6F – Fighting Mobs

Once you reach Syleus’s Abyss, follow the single path leading down to its lowest level. The route becomes clear from the fifth floor onwards. And once you set foot on the last floor, remember to trigger the checkpoint immediately!

Before you dive right down, you should know that it is highly recommended to have a party with you while tackling the monsters of this floor. Enemies here hit like a truck, and they have over 50k health each.

If you’re not a tank or don’t have much self-sustaining capability, it won’t be effective to go solo, as it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to securely defeat more than one enemy at a time. With my decent dagger and crossbow setup, and a gear score around 2400, I find it challenging to take down two opponents in this game.

As soon as you enter the room, you’ll notice a lengthy staircase filled with enemies clearly marked if you have any active contracts. If you’re looking to complete your assignments quickly, don’t hesitate to take out anything that gets in your path!

REMARK: If your Syleus’s Abyss contracts aren’t marked as favorites, press the N button and tap on the yellow icon. Then, choose Contract Scroll, and simply tap the star next to each item there.

Finding the Demonhoof Head Shaman & Magic Tomes

On occasion, your contracts may aim to vanquish the Demonhoof Head Shaman, a formidable foe who might appear in specific locations. It’s recommended that you gather a group of players to take him down as he is too powerful for solo efforts. If you don’t have a party, try to find nearby allies to join forces with.

Check out the map illustration below to identify the spot for the shaman boss. The area where it could possibly appear is shared with the location of the Sealed Magic Tomes, often found along the room’s perimeter. Be prepared for a battle on your journey there as well.

Just walk up to one of the sealed magic books and give it a try. In a short while, you’ll see that task accomplished on your list! The map provided can guide you further as well.

Remark: Scattered across the floor of Syleus’s Abyss are circular platforms that can rotate, similar to those in the last zone. If not arranged carefully, this rotation feature might make reaching some rooms more challenging.

Finding Soul Braziers – Leap of Faith

My suggestion is to deal with the Soul Brazier at the end, since the process for examining it can seem a bit absurd. If you’ve got a pile of contracts that cover the majority or all of the objectives outlined in this guide, then it would be most efficient to handle it as you exit the shaman’s room.

Before you set foot on the bridge, take a peek down and gracefully descend towards the ground beneath. If your descent is deep enough, you’ll notice a “Soul Brazier” signpost below. Carefully drop down and then engage with the brazier, which has a distinctive blue flame, to accomplish the goal.

Keep an eye out below, because this area is filled with aggressive opponents who can attack with melee and ranged weapons. You should watch out for potential ambushes from afar!

There are strategic handholds situated below, which can assist you in climbing back up if you fall too far or choosing to exit. However, should you decide to tackle other tasks first, there’s always the option to instantly transport yourself to a secure location.

Another piece of advice that could be useful if you’re not already aware is to keep an eye on the server’s clock. If it’s approaching evening, you may prefer to delay the contracts for the moment.

Occasionally, for approximately 30 minutes, open-world dungeons transform into Player vs Player (PvP) areas. However, in the case of ‘Syleus’s Abyss’, it is temporarily sealed off until the next day’s phase commences.
