Alan Wake 2 Will Add an Assist Mode Soon

As a die-hard fan of the suspenseful world that Alan Wake and Remedy Entertainment have crafted, I couldn’t be more thrilled with the upcoming anniversary celebration for Alan Wake 2! The fact that they are adding an Assist Mode for those who want to enjoy the game without the usual challenge is a fantastic touch. It opens up the experience to even more players, allowing us all to immerse ourselves in the eerie town of Bright Falls.

As a gamer, I’m thrilled about the shift from the physical Deluxe Edition to the eerily captivating expansion of Alan Wake 2. The anticipation among fans is growing by the day, but that’s not all Remedy Entertainment has in store for us. They’ve got a few extra treats waiting for everyone!

On Twitter, the game director Kyle Rowley announced that Remedy is planning a free update for Alan Wake 2’s one-year anniversary, which includes an easier play mode called Assist Mode. This mode offers benefits such as unlimited ammunition, infinite flashlight batteries, invincibility, and enemies that die with just one shot.

Apart from the Assist Mode, the update will enhance functionalities exclusive to DualSense controller on PS5. This includes advancements in haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and gyro support. Additionally, you can anticipate some other gameplay adjustments and bug fixes. Moreover, players who possess the Deluxe Edition of the game will receive a Classic Wake outfit, which seems to be inspired by the original Alan Wake.

Alan Wake 2 is now playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and personal computers. The Lake House DLC and the physical Deluxe Edition are set to be released on October 22nd.

Some additional goodies coming for the one year anniversary of Alan Wake 2:

– Classic Wake outfit for Deluxe edition owners.
-Assist mode (infinite ammo, immortality, infinite flashlight, one shot kill etc)
-Haptic, adaptive trigger improvements and Gyro support for PS5
