During their conversation with Jay, officers observed that the former Chicago Bears quarterback’s speech was slow and unclear, with a hint of slurring, and his eyes appeared bloodshot. The document states these observations. Jay, who has children Camden (12), Jaxon (10), and Saylor (8) with his ex-wife Kristin Cavallari, reportedly had a strong alcohol scent about him, but initially denied drinking any alcohol. Initially, Jay declined to take a field sobriety test, but eventually, he allowed his blood to be drawn at Williamson Medical Center, as stated in the affidavit.
During a search of the vehicle belonging to a former star of “Very Cavallari”, police discovered a rifle in the backseat and a handgun loaded with ammunition in the center console, as stated in court documents. Jay was granted bail set at $5,000, and a court hearing concerning this matter has been scheduled for January 16, 2025.
