Sea of Thieves: Season 14 is Now Available

As a seasoned pirate who’s sailed through countless stormy seas and plundered treasures aplenty, I can say with certainty that Season 14 of Sea of Thieves has truly stirred the pot of piracy! The addition of the Blowpipe, a weapon that allows for silent takedowns with a touch of mischief, is a game-changer. And let’s not forget about the Grapple Gun, a tool as versatile as a pirate’s parrot, serving both as a means to snag loot and a way down when you’ve scaled too high.

As an ardent admirer, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve just dived into the action-packed world of Sea of Thieves by Rare! The 14th season is now live, and it’s bringing a fresh wave of weapons to our pirate arsenal. But what has me especially excited is the emphasis on a previously undervalued element – stealth. If you haven’t already, be sure to watch the launch trailer below and set sail on this new adventure!

The newest weapon is the Blowpipe, which is almost completely silent and ideal for putting enemies (including other players) to sleep, leaving their loot ripe for the taking. However, you can also use explosives or lure darts to blow up or distract enemies. There’s also the Grapple Gun to pull enemies and items towards you or serve as a traversal tool (especially when descending from higher elevations).

The concept of stealth has undergone a transformation. Now, sneaking around is even quieter and your tag is hidden, while there are fresh disguises such as hiding within chests. Furthermore, you can now set traps using fireworks, cursed cannonballs, and other explosive items. To add to this, new Commendations and cosmetics have been introduced, including the eerie Coral Coven collection.

Sea of Thieves can be played on PlayStation 5, Personal Computers, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Feel free to read our review focusing on the PlayStation 5 edition; it’s said that more than a million copies have been sold!
