As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must confess that the announcement of a new Mario and Luigi game stirred a whirlwind of emotions within me. The suddenness of it all took me aback, considering AlphaDream’s shutdown years ago had left many of us skeptical about its future.

For quite some time, it seemed that a new Mario and Luigi game wasn’t imminent, with most of us believing this due to the closure of AlphaDream, the developer responsible for all previous installments, approximately five years back.

Indeed, when “Mario and Luigi: Brothership” was unveiled, many people were curious to know who was in charge of its development. While Nintendo disclosed that some of the original developers for the series were working on the upcoming RPG, they didn’t specify which studio is spearheading the project, a practice that’s common with this company.

It appears that the information about Mario and Luigi: Brothership has been made public. According to a tweet by @Nintendeal, this game was developed by Acquire. For those who may not be aware, Acquire has gained recognition in recent years for their work on the Octopath Traveler series. Prior to that, they also created Way of the Samurai and Tenchu games.

It’s worth noting that a recent leak implies that the game “Mario and Luigi: Brothership” was developed using the Unreal Engine, which is also utilized by Acquire for their “Octopath” series of titles.

Mario and Luigi: Brothership is due out on November 7 for Switch.

Excitingly, I’ve learned that the captivating adventure of Mario & Luigi Brothership was jointly crafted by the talented minds at Acquire, the studio behind classics like Octopath Traveler, Tenchu, and Way of the Samurai! What a thrill to know these masters of game design have contributed to this iconic duo’s journey.
