Bethany Joy Lenz’s Former Father-in-Law Addresses Cult Accusations

As a lifestyle expert with years of experience in understanding complex human dynamics, I find Bethany Joy Lenz’s story deeply concerning and heart-wrenching. Her account of her time within The Big House Family, particularly her marriage to Michael Galeotti Jr., paints a picture of manipulation, emotional distress, and boundaries violated – experiences that no one should have to endure.

Over time, the actress who was once part of “One Tree Hill” has been speaking openly about her involvement with The Big House Family organization, which she referred to as a “cult.” However, the ministry’s founder and her ex-father-in-law, Michael Galeotti, has denied these accusations.

In an interview I had with Dailymail.com on October 22nd, I shared my perspective: everyone interprets things uniquely, and she’s choosing to embrace fame. Kudos to her! She’s certainly carving out a niche for herself. However, the path to that stardom wasn’t what I envisioned it would be.

In her recently published memoir titled “Dinner for Vampires”, the author reveals details about how she got entangled with their group, eventually marrying Michael Galeotti Jr., who is the son of someone named Michael. They have a 13-year-old daughter called Rosie together. However, they divorced in 2012 after being married for seven years.

Meanwhile, although his father openly expressed his thoughts concerning the actress from Pearson regarding the group’s memory, Michael Jr.’s primary focus remains on their daughter.

TopMob News has reached out to reps for Bethany and has not yet heard back.

The Galeottis’ comments come days after Bethany gave more insight into her time at The Big House Family, including distancing herself from her family, which she said the group influenced her by noting that her mom was “spiritually in a different place.”

She clarified on the Call Her Daddy podcast on October 16th that it was a gradual process, almost imperceptible at times. She mentioned subtle hints, such as “Remember, we’re your family and we’re always here to support you.

She claimed that they frequently stressed that her mother was simply following a distinct route, and that they did not value Bethany’s personal space or limits.

Additionally, she mentioned that she and the individual she referred to as “QB”, which is presumably Michael Jr., established a routine for their intimate moments to address any difficulties they were experiencing.

She reminisced about a time when she felt completely uninterested in intimacy, and was subsequently advised to follow a routine. In essence, she was told, “You simply have to perform this task. Perform it. This is your responsibility as a spouse. Your feelings will align later on. If you do it frequently enough, then eventually, you’ll discover a way to take pleasure in it.

However, she shared how the routine ultimately contributed to her anxiety in their relationship.

Every time, it felt as if my stomach plummeted,” the 43-year-old expressed. “You know, the emotions from those experiences lingered and impacted my relationships later on—for instance, when meeting new boyfriends at the airport for pickups. The PTSD was intense; I’d feel overwhelmed every time I realized I had to establish a regular sexual routine for the upcoming weeks.

Despite their sordid relationship, Bethany has sympathy for her ex.

She expressed that it was truly unfortunate because [he] – who unfortunately had no real chance from the start – faced this predicament. Growing up with a narcissist, he found himself trapped in a marriage with a woman not suited for him. Despite his best efforts, he struggled to navigate through the situation. In essence, it was one big challenge after another.
