The public eye can sometimes be unforgiving, and it’s evident that Rosie is dealing with a unique set of challenges that come with being a public figure.

After her daughter, Chelsea Belle O’Donnell, was arrested twice in quick succession for allegations of child neglect and drug offenses, the comedian conveyed a message to her online followers.

Rosie expressed her gratitude in a TikTok video posted on October 21st, saying, ‘I wanted to thank everyone for the thoughtful words and well-wishes regarding Chelsea.’ She added, ‘I truly value this, it means a lot.’

Previously known television talk show host, aged 62 and mother to Parker (29), Blake (24), Vivienne (21), and Dakota (11), took a moment to thank those who bravely shared their personal stories as this unfolding event is being played out in the public eye.

She went on to say, “For everyone who shared their struggles with a child, spouse, sibling, or partner that mirrored my own experiences, I appreciate your companionship. It can be challenging being in the public eye, and I understand it affects not only myself but also my loved ones. However, we live in a culture where this is our reality, and here we stand together.

27-year-old Chelsea was initially detained in Marinette County, Wisconsin, in September for felony charges related to child neglect, operating a site for drug trafficking, and possessing methamphetamine. In addition, she is accused of lesser offenses involving THC possession, unlawful prescriptions, drug accessories, and domestic abuse.

Approximately weeks past, Chelsea was apprehended once more on October 11 in Oconto County, Wisconsin. Subsequently, she was indicted for felony offenses involving methamphetamine and other narcotic substances, as well as bail jumping. Furthermore, she faced misdemeanor charges for drug paraphernalia possession and obstructing or resisting an officer.

According to Oconto County Jail records, Chelsea remains in custody.

After the arrests were made known, Rosie posted a picture of her daughter who she’s had a challenging bond with, among her four kids.

Rosie shared on Instagram yesterday, ‘Chelsea’s making headlines today.’ She posted this picture, reminiscent of happier days.
