As reported by ABC News, a representative from the company has verified that Walmart is providing additional resources for their staff, such as on-site help and grief counseling, along with the option for virtual healthcare services.
Additionally, it was mentioned that law enforcement is collaborating with both the Occupational Health and Safety agency and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service in their ongoing investigation.
On October 22nd, the Nova Scotia Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration enforced a halt to all operations at the store’s bakery and walk-in oven with a temporary closure order.
