The movie titled “Poetic License,” penned by Raffi Donatich, will be jointly produced by Apatow Productions, Levantine Films, and Jewelbox Pictures – a production company established by the star of “Euphoria” along with her longtime friend and collaborator Olivia Rosenbloom.
Additionally, there are other aspects about the upcoming film that have been disclosed. The story revolves around Liz, a former therapist and imminent empty nester, who disrupts the bond between two college seniors vying for her attention. In this movie titled No Hard Feelings, actors such as Andrew Barth Feldman from No Hard Feelings, Cooper Hoffman known for his role in Licorice Pizza, and Nico Parker from The Last of Us will join Leslie on set.
Maude, aged 26, is undoubtedly ecstatic to take on her new position as director. In a post on October 23rd on her Instagram, the actress from “The King of Staten Island” expressed her enthusiasm by sharing an article about the project, stating, “I can’t be more thrilled to breathe life into this story with this incredible cast!
Similarly to Leslie, who is also a parent of Iris Apatow (age 22, born to the director of Knocked Up), expressed similar excitement through her Instagram post on October 23rd with the caption, “I am so thrilled!!
Maude, known for her role as Lexi Howard in the popular HBO series “Euphoria,” has expressed interest in delving into creative ventures beyond acting. This ambition was encouraged by her father, a writer and director, who is renowned for creating comedy classics such as “Freaks and Geeks,” “The 40-Year-Old Virgin,” and “This Is 40.
In an interview with Net-A-Porter back in September 2022, Maude shared that her father often emphasized how unpredictable acting can be, saying “you never know what’s around the corner.” He consistently motivated her to focus on writing as well.
