She clarified that the animal is a rescue. When she first acquired him, he was extremely timid. We tried numerous names, with my friends suggesting every name imaginable. My friend, who serves as the food consultant on “Lessons in Chemistry,” noticed him and exclaimed, “Oh my gosh, he’s Six-Thirty!” Upon saying this, he looked up. I found it peculiar at first, but then we said it again, and still skeptical, I didn’t think much of it—until he only responded to the name Six-Thirty.
And while Brie eventually settled on the unusual name, she admitted she had resisted.
She underscored that she had exhausted all options. “For four days straight, I called him different names – Dog, Jeremy, Jimmy, David. I even asked the pantry if it was flour, salt, or black pepper because I wasn’t sure,” she added, expressing her confusion.
Brie might not have picked the name, but she made it clear she wants Six-Thirty to simply be his most genuine and true self.
As she put it, “Please just respect him when you see him.”
