Get Away – TRAILER

As a seasoned horror movie enthusiast who has braved countless nights of sleep deprivation and jump scares, I must say that the Get Away trailer piqued my interest right from the start. Having watched my fair share of serial killer films, I’ve learned to read between the lines of seemingly idyllic vacations. The ominous warnings from the mainlanders, coupled with the island’s eerie atmosphere and the locals’ strange behavior, set off all sorts of alarm bells in my head.

Landing in our in box is the Get Away trailer that stars and is written and produced by Nick Frost.

Based in Sweden, the story Escape Route unfolds as a family embarks on a vacation to a secluded retreat. However, their peaceful journey takes an unwelcome twist when they uncover that the island they’ve arrived at is home to a notorious serial killer.

As a movie enthusiast, I’m eagerly anticipating my family’s getaway to the tiny Swedish island of Svälta. However, the warnings from mainlanders about avoiding the island, particularly during the Karantan festival, leave us uneasy. Despite this, our family of four is desperate for some downtime and we resolve to take the ferry regardless.

Nick Frost shares screen time with Aisling Bea (from “This Way Up”), Sebastian Croft (“Heartstopper”), and debutant Maisie Ayres (“Criminal Record”). Frost expresses his excitement, saying: “Working on this film for Sky Originals feels almost too good to be real. It seems like the ideal setting to cuddle up with a massive dose of comedy horror. Enjoy!
