In simple terms, the final episode of Good Omens will be a 90-minute special, marking the departure of Neil Gaiman from the show following accusations of inappropriate behavior.
Despite anticipation for a complete Season 3, it appears the series finale will be condensed. Notably, David Tennant’s character Crowley and Michael Sheen’s character Aziraphale will reappear in just one additional episode.
In 2025, the final episode will start filming in Scotland. Neil Gaiman contributed to writing it, but he won’t be part of the production process, and his company, Blank Corporation, also won’t be involved. It was announced last year that Good Omens will be returning for a third season. However, Douglas Mackinnon, who had been both director and executive producer during the first two seasons, decided to step down following those seasons.
Good Omens, as depicted in this 1990 novel penned by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, centers around an unconventional duo – an angel (portrayed by Sheen) and a demon (Tennant) – who join forces to thwart the impending end of the world.
