Yakuza Kiwami is Out Now on Nintendo Switch

As a seasoned gamer with a hearty appetite for gripping narratives and exhilarating gameplay, I must confess that the announcement of Yakuza Kiwami on the Nintendo Switch has sent a shiver of excitement down my spine. For years, I’ve been longing to dive back into Kamurocho’s neon-lit streets, and now, thanks to Sega’s decision to bring this masterpiece to the Switch, I can do just that – anytime, anywhere!

Over the past few years, the “Yakuza” series has gained immense popularity on various gaming platforms. However, until recently, it had been absent from Nintendo Switch. But that changed in August when Sega announced they would be bringing the “Yakuza” series to the Switch with “Yakuza Kiwami,” and the game is now available for purchase.

In this fresh rendition of the initial Yakuza series title, titled Yakuza Kiwami, players are transported into the compact yet bustling open-world environment of Kamurocho, where protagonist Kazuma Kiryu embarks on one of his earliest criminal adventures. The revamped game also offers additional narrative elements centered around Akira Nishkiyama and Goro Majima, with the latter occasionally appearing as a formidable random adversary that Kiryu must battle repeatedly. Take a peek at the trailer below to catch a glimpse of how the game appears on the Nintendo Switch.

You can play Yakuza Kiwami not only on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and personal computers but also on Nintendo Switch. Fingers crossed that its release on Switch will open the door for more Yakuza (or Like a Dragon) games to make their way onto this platform too.
