Undisputed Has Sold 1 Million Units

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the release of Undisputed has been a breath of fresh air in the gaming world. With boxing games being scarce for the past decade or so, it’s refreshing to see an indie developer like Steel City Interactive stepping up to the plate and delivering an authentic, ambitious, and licensed boxing simulator.

As a passionate gamer, I’ve been yearning for some good boxing games lately, so when I heard about Steel City Interactive’s upcoming title, Undisputed, promising an authentic, ambitious, and licensed boxing simulator, I couldn’t contain my excitement! Now that the game is out, it appears that the pre-release buzz is translating into impressive sales.

According to GamesIndustry, the fighting game “Undisputed” has surpassed a significant milestone by selling more than one million copies globally on various platforms. It made its complete debut just this month, following a long stint in early access on Steam for over a year and a half.

According to Steel City Interactive’s CEO, Ash Habib, it appears that the sales of our game have surpassed Deep Silver’s internal projections for success.

“There hasn’t been a boxing game in 12 to 13 years,” he said. “The way we’ve done Early Access and built our community, and the numbers we were seeing… I was hoping for a pretty good launch.

For the first time, I find myself without any prior experience to draw comparisons from. It might seem like I’m throwing around numbers aimlessly, thinking “a million is a million,” but in practical terms, it’s an extraordinary accomplishment for an independent studio’s debut project. We’ve even surpassed the expectations set by our publisher.

In our assessment of the game titled “Undisputed“, we gave it a grade of 7 out of 10. We stated that “Undisputed” provides striking visual detail and boasts an extensive selection of fighters, which boxing enthusiasts are sure to appreciate. The core boxing mechanics in the game offer enjoyment as they approach simulation-style play with the inclusion of sixty distinct punches. Although some might argue that the modes within “Undisputed” do not justify the retail price of $59.99, the character customization, combat mechanics, and expansive roster are more than enough to appease fans of this genre.
