Starting this Friday, 25th October, Nautilus will debut as a fresh, family-oriented series on Prime Video. It delves deep into the captivating backstory of Captain Nemo, promising an exciting voyage for all viewers.
I’m thrilled to be part of the team bringing a fresh take on Jules Verne’s timeless masterpiece, “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas,” first published in 1870. Now, this captivating series is set to make a splash on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland, thanks to our successful negotiations with Disney for the rights!
According to the show summary, it narrates the backstory of Captain Nemo: a native prince who lost his inheritance and family, embarking on an adventure as he seizes a powerful submarine model and sets sail into the Indian Ocean with a diverse group of companions, all aiming to retaliate against the merciless East India Mercantile Company.
Under the leadership of Shazad Latif, who is known for “What’s Love Got to Do with It?”, the cast features Georgia Flood, recognized from “Apples Never Fall”, as well as guest stars Anna Torv, famous for “Territory”, and Richard E Grant, best known for “The Franchise”.
