As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that 2024 has been nothing short of a golden age for gaming enthusiasts, particularly those with a soft spot for Sega and its iconic characters. The latest addition to this year’s illustrious lineup is the stunning Sonic X Shadow Generations, a title that has already made waves worldwide with its impressive sales figures on day one.
2024 remains an extraordinary year for Sega as the company experiences a series of successes since the start, with its latest major release also kicking off strongly. Today, Sonic X Shadow Generations was released on PC and consoles, and it has already sold over 1 million units globally across all platforms in just one day.
As a hardcore gamer, I can’t wait to get my hands on the freshly dropped title that’s a revamped version of the legendary 2011 platformer, Sonic Generations. But what’s even more exciting is the addition of a completely new game within it, dubbed Shadow Generations. To top it off, Sega has planned some DLC for the game in December, featuring a brand-new level and Shadow’s voice acting, skillfully performed by Keanu Reeves – the man who brings Shadow to life in the upcoming movie, Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
