Carol Burnett, 91, Shares Her Secret to Staying Active

As a devoted admirer of the unparalleled Carol Burnett, I find myself utterly captivated by her indomitable spirit and resilience. At 91, she continues to grace us with her presence, reminding us all that age is no barrier to success or happiness.

These days, Carol Burnett is continuing to thrive.

Indeed, the comedy great has lately revealed his secret to maintaining an active lifestyle at 91, and it turns out to be surprisingly straightforward.

Burnett said to TopMob News during the interview on the red carpet at Variety’s Power of Women event in Los Angeles, October 24th, “I suppose it’s just good to be thankful that you’re still here and all your abilities are intact.

With over 70 years in Hollywood, the star of “Annie” has experienced a mix of highs and lows. At an illustrious event where she shared the honor with stars like Amy Adams, Zoe Saldana, and Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria, she would advise her younger self: “Keep going, don’t give up.

Initially, she remembered feeling disheartened as she began, but a voice within her seemed to whisper, “Persist!” or alternatively, “Keep going.

Although she continues to shine on television series such as Palm Royale, this Emmy-winning actress hinted at Apple TV+ potentially being her final role. However, she added to Variety in an October 23 interview that “unless there’s a cameo or something enjoyable,” it might be her last hurrah!

She made it clear that her decision to retire from acting would be self-determined, much as it had been when she ended her cherished, Emmy-awarded Variety show after a run of 11 seasons back in 1978.

She stated that she decided to stop working because they had accomplished nearly everything possible and were beginning to create similar sketches. She felt it was best to depart before the network might signal them to turn off the lights and tell them not to continue their work any longer. In essence, she wanted to bid farewell.
