Made in Chelsea alums replay iconic cringe moment in Beyond Chelsea reunion

As a film enthusiast with a soft spot for reality TV, I must say that the upcoming spin-off of Made in Chelsea titled Beyond Chelsea has piqued my interest. Having followed the lives of Binky Felstead, Rosie Fortescue, and Lucy Watson during their stint on the original show, it’s fascinating to see them reflecting on their iconic moments, particularly that unforgettable season 4 scene where Lucy delivered her memorable line in a dinner party.

Over a long period, Binky Felstead, Rosie Fortescue, and Lucy Watson, once prominent figures on Made in Chelsea, have graced our screens with numerous unforgettable moments.

In a standalone series titled “Beyond Chelsea,” the women are eager to reminisce about their experiences from the initial program, with a notable humorous moment being a key focus point.

In a playful manner, Binky asks Lucy, “Could you share the well-known quote with me?” Laughing over the supposed expense of hearing it, both ladies chuckle, teasingly recalling an old prank that involved misattributing the original phrase to rile up Lucy.

“I just saw red. I just was like, ‘Why is everyone getting all up in my grill?’,” Lucy says.

Of course, who could forget the season 4 scene in which Lucy delivered the same line to a dinner party hall full of guests? Although the episode aired more than 10 years ago, it’s still quoted by Made in Chelsea fans to this day.

Later on, Rosie confesses, “I shudder when I think about past events.” As for sharing Made in Chelsea with their offspring, Lucy suggests it could serve as a reminder of “how mommy and daddy first appeared together on television,” alluding to her partner, James Dunmore.

Lucy muses, “So much has shifted, doesn’t it seem like we too have evolved?” This observation sparks a moment of introspection among everyone, as they contemplate the transformations in their lives during their thirties and the company they keep now.

Without a doubt, there’s a significant shift from the passionate dinner gatherings, feuds, and romantic entanglements that once dominated the E4 reality show during their tenure. Now, the original cast members are ready to offer us a glimpse into their current lives and what they’re currently focused on.

As per the summary, the show will trace their lives, including their families and closest companions, as they manage family duties, organize events, and maintain thriving businesses.

At present, it’s uncertain if any other cast members will join Binky, Rosie, and Lucy for the new spin-off series, but we’re confident that there will be more opportunities for them to reminisce about some of the most significant episodes in Made in Chelsea’s history.

In an interview before the show’s premiere, Watson expressed that the timing was perfect for this release: “Various opportunities have crossed my path, but none of them seemed fitting – it needed to be the ideal production.

Working with this familiar crew makes me feel comfortable enough to reveal more aspects of myself to the audience. It seems like they already know a piece of me, and now, I’ll get to share even deeper parts – that’s quite unique and exciting.

In much the same vein, Fortescue expressed: “I’m thrilled to be back on stage! Frankly, I hadn’t anticipated returning to anything like this following Made in Chelsea. However, the unique approach of filming and collaborating with Binky, who is among my closest friends, has made it possible.

Binky remarked: “Much has shifted over time, and I’ve matured significantly. It feels intimidating for me to expose myself publicly once more, letting cameras into my household to introduce my children and spouse. However, I believe I’m now prepared for this new stage.

The television show “Beyond Chelsea” begins on Channel 4 on Tuesday, October 29th, at 10:00 PM. You can also watch it online via Channel 4’s streaming service.
