1000-Lb. Sisters’ Amy Slaton Tearfully Reacts to Weight Loss Milestone

As a dedicated follower of Amy Slaton‘s journey, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of admiration and pride for her progress. Watching her struggle with weight issues for so long and then witnessing her determination to change her life is truly inspiring. Seeing her try on those heels for the first time brought tears to my eyes. It’s a testament to the hard work she’s put in, and it’s a powerful reminder that every small victory counts.

Amy Slaton is proud of her progress.

In our exclusive preview for the October 29th episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters airing on TLC, one of the stars embarks on an exceptional shopping excursion.

Amy admits, “I’ve long desired a pair of high heels, but my figure has never been slim enough.” She adds, “When one is overweight and visually impaired, maintaining balance can be challenging, so I find it safer to stay grounded.

The mother of two, who has children Gage Deon Halterman (4 years old) and Glenn Allen Halterman (2 years old) with her former spouse Michael Halterman, also mentioned that her recent weight loss is not localized in any particular part of her body.

Amy explains that when one loses weight, it’s not just from the belly, legs, chest, or butt – it’s from all over, even the hands and feet. She jokes that she often forgets her shoe size due to this weight loss.

During this joyful outing, Amy acknowledged that the high heels didn’t exactly feel comfortable or suitable for her.

She comments that wearing the slim-fitting heels makes her feel clumsy, adding that it’s as if she’s a newborn calf learning to walk. She admits that she’s not quite adjusted to them yet.

A significant factor contributing to Amy’s success was her ability to comfortably wear heels, a confidence gained after losing sufficient weight to avoid any potential risks.

She humorously notes that she’s noticed she’s lost weight and cautions about not damaging her shoe, saying “it’s a good moment.

I’m not alone in my weight loss journey within my family; even my sister, Tammy Slaton, is openly sharing her own health transformation.

On October 15th, during the show’s broadcast, Tammy unveiled her remarkable weight loss, having been at a heavy 725 pounds when she hit her lowest point.

Tammy’s weight was nearly 304 pounds, and Dr. Eric Smith was amazed by her weight loss progress, calling it “incredible.

Tammy herself was also shocked by the results, celebrating the news and saying, “I surpassed Dr. Smith’s goal, my goal, all the goals!”

1000-Lb. Sisters airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on TLC.
