As a longtime fan and admirer of Jason Dolley’s work, I must say that his perspective on Bridgit Mendler’s career shift is truly inspiring. It’s not every day you see a former Disney Channel star turning into a tech pioneer, building satellites and earning degrees from prestigious institutions like Harvard and MIT.
Jason Dolley wasn’t sure if the world was ready for not for Bridgit Mendler‘s career shift.
In spite of her hectic career on the Disney Channel and her ascension as a popstar, the actress from “Good Luck Charlie” chose to step out of the limelight to focus on technology. Interestingly, her screen brother found this career shift quite logical.
Jason shared with Francesca Amiker of TopMob News during the Wizards Beyond Waverly Place premiere on October 28th that he was taken aback by all the news about her when she was at MIT and constructing satellites. However, he also found it in line with who he knew her to be.

Previously this year, Bridigt disclosed that together with her husband, Griffin Cleverly, they established tech venture Northwood Space. This innovative company is dedicated to constructing ground satellite stations, enabling the transmission and reception of data from space, essentially functioning as a “data superhighway” between the two realms. Currently, Bridigt holds the position of CEO, while her husband, who she has a 4-year-old son with, acts as CTO.
At the age of 31, she had graduated with a law degree from Harvard University in May, and was working towards a PhD at MIT. However, due to certain circumstances, she temporarily paused her studies at MIT.
As per Jason, since Bridgit’s father constructs engines, he believes it made perfect sense for her to pursue a similar path.
To put it simply, she’s incredibly capable, as she makes up her mind to achieve something, and I wholeheartedly support her. Let her decommission those satellites and create a brighter future for us all.
If Jason’s manifestation proves successful, Bridgit may ponder the idea of reprising her role in a revival of “Good Luck Charlie”.
He pondered that there are many intriguing tales to be uncovered in that place, offering some thoughts on his character’s plot development. He found PJ’s journey particularly captivating, suggesting that perhaps he could transform into a figure similar to Gordon Ramsay in the culinary world.
Jason mentioned that he doesn’t have the authority to make the ultimate decision. He informed TopMob by saying, “I’m proposing this idea, so let’s wait and see how things unfold.
