As a lifelong fan of British mysteries and a devotee of Midsomer Murders since its inception, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming episode “Dressed to Kill.” With its rich history spanning over two decades and an impressive roster of guest stars, this show has always been a delightful addition to my Sunday nights.
After a while, fans haven’t visited Midsomer or watched Barnaby solve another mystery, but it’s about time for another one! The release date for the most recent Midsomer Murders has been set.
In an unusual arrangement, the episode titled “Dressed to Kill” won’t serve as the beginning of a fresh series but will instead be a standalone broadcast. You can catch it on ITV1 and ITVX at 8 pm on Sunday, 10th November.
In an upcoming episode, residents of Elverton-Cum-Latterly find themselves in a centuries-old dominoes tournament. However, chaos and danger arise when this traditional event coincides with a drag queen charity event for a terminally ill teenager on the same night, leading to a culturally explosive and potentially lethal confrontation.
Amongst the familiar faces like Neil Dudgeon, Nick Hendrix, Fiona Dolman, and Annette Badland, this upcoming episode is set to shine with the addition of talented guest stars: Ace Bhatti, Suzanne Packer, Nigel Lindsay, and LJ Johnson. I can hardly wait!
In the finale of its 23rd season, Midsomer Murders is set to conclude, but rest assured that a 24th season has premiered in certain regions, and even more excitingly, a 25th season has already been announced!
In the year 2022, the program commemorated its 25-year milestone, having first been broadcast in 1997. This significant event was honored with a documentary titled “Midsomer Murders: A Quarter Century of Chaos,” which can now be streamed on ITVX.
The show is recognized for frequently featuring a variety of notable guest actors in single episodes, including Tom Conti, who appeared in an episode during this current season.
During our performance together, Tom will adjust the rhythm of his lines to make it seem like you’re a fish being pulled and released by a fisherman – an exhilarating experience that requires your full attention, much like staying focused while riding a horse.
It’s wonderful to have so many seasoned performers on this series; recently, I had the pleasure of chatting with Claire Bloom about her experiences working alongside comedy legends like Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin.
“June Whitfield was wonderful, a mine of great stories.”
Midsomer Murders returns to screens on Sunday 10th November at 8pm on ITV1.
