On the October 30th episode of “Call Her Daddy”, Halsey (originally known as Ashley Frangipane) expressed, “He is in a relationship with my son now, and I’m truly amazed by how he consistently shows up for my son in such an authentic manner. This led me to think, ‘You really are an exceptional individual.’

The singer famously known for “Bad at Love” publicly confirmed her engagement to a former star from “Victorious” in September. She also shared that he successfully altered her initial views on marriage, not through persuasion but simply by being himself.

Halsey responded briefly about the change in her viewpoint. “Well, honestly, I never imagined myself getting married,” she said. “But suddenly, I found myself wanting to marry him, and I can’t really put it into words why.

Regarding the proposal, Halsey found it “extremely charming.” She explained that Avan, aged 32, proposed there in Barcelona, a city significant to them since it’s where their relationship began.

After he departed for a six-month shoot in Canada following their engagement, she playfully commented, “Well, I guess that’s goodbye for now!” In reality, due to his commitments, we haven’t had much of an engaged period. However, he’ll be returning home at the perfect time for us to spend some quality time together when I start promoting my new album. I believe our real togetherness will begin then.

Prior to their relationship starting in late 2023, it was known to Halsey that she had already been familiar with Avan, as he had long been on her radar.

She shared, “I’ve always had an uneasy sense regarding him.” After discovering she was pregnant, she focused all her emotions on maintaining her family and nurturing her new role as a mother. However, when she found herself raising her son alone, she thought, “I will never enter into another relationship again.

In terms of the most favorable part of their bond, Halsey highlighted it as his openness to whatever ideas she presents.

She stated, “I can’t think of anything that would surprise or unsettle him. We can discuss anything freely. He’s always focused on finding solutions, so our discussions are always geared towards resolving issues and improving things. We don’t get stuck in a ‘who wins this?’ mentality.
