We’d expect many of the cast from season 1 to return, including:
- Aleks Le as Jinwoo Sung
- Christopher R. Sabat as Yoonho Baek
- Dani Chambers as Lee Joohee
- Ian Sinclair as Jong-In Choi
- Justin Briner as. Jinho Yoo
- Kent Williams as Gunhee Go

It’s been confirmed that a character will return – Igris, who first appeared in episode 11. Fresh artwork of the character has been revealed, as shown below.
What will the plot of Solo Leveling season 2 be?
So far, we’ve only confirmed the title for season 2 of Solo Levelling: “Arise from the Shadow“. However, the current teaser trailer hints that our protagonist, Sung Jinwoo (who used to be the weakest hunter), is still embarking on his journey to unravel the mysteries behind his newfound powers, the System, and the portal linking our world to the dangerous dungeons filled with monsters.
Following his victory over Igris as the Shadow Monarch, we anticipate that season 2 will reveal additional powers for Jinwoo Sung, as there are more abilities to be unveiled from Chugong’s original webcomic. In its initial 12-episode run, the anime adaptation has covered 45 chapters of the webcomic, concluding the Job Change Arc.
Based on the current progression of the webcomic’s storyline, we can anticipate that Season 2 will likely cover at least the next three story arcs: The Redgate Arc, Demon Castle Arc, and Restesting Rank Arc. Given the intensity of The Redgate and Demon Castle Arcs, it makes sense for the upcoming season to extend these narratives across more episodes.
How many episodes will there be in Solo Leveling season 2?
As of now, the number of episodes for season 2 hasn’t been officially confirmed, but based on our speculation, it seems likely that there will be twelve episodes, similar to season 1.
Is there a trailer for Solo Leveling season 2?
Indeed, the trailer you’re referring to was revealed together with the announcement of season 2 in July 2024. Although it’s just a 40-second clip, we’re excited to have something to look forward to right now!
Solo Leveling season 1 is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
