As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that the upcoming release of Metro Awakening has piqued my interest like a mutant’s glowing eye in the dark. Having traversed the post-apocalyptic wastelands of Fallout and the gritty tunnels of the Metro series before, I am eager to dive back into this desolate world once more.
As October wraps up, let’s focus on November and its upcoming releases. One noteworthy title is “Metro Awakening” from 4A Games. Despite being a VR-exclusive, this first-person shooter maintains the essence of the series. In it, players take on the role of Dr. Serdar, who is on a mission to find his missing wife, Yana. How did he get into this predicament?
A fresh seven-minute video showcases the game’s initial events. In this sequence, character Serdar teams up with his fellow defenders to safeguard the entrance to their community. However, hordes of mutants attack them relentlessly. Although they utilize a turret for defense, the mutants manage to break through and mercilessly massacre the residents. Eventually, Serdar and his allies discover a means to halt their progress, but this resolution comes at a heavy cost.
As a determined gamer, I’m diving headfirst into the heart of Metro Awakening, where my survival is uncertain. Come November 7th, I’ll be exploring the perilous Metro on PC VR, PlayStation VR2, and Meta Quest 2 and 3.
