As a follower who has witnessed the Obama family’s journey from the White House to Hollywood, I can’t help but admire their resilience and grace under pressure. The daughters, Malia and Sasha, have grown up in the limelight, yet they’ve managed to remain grounded – a feat that is nothing short of remarkable.

As they’ve grown older, the daughters of Barack and Michelle Obama have encountered a new dimension in their lives that has been primarily out of the public spotlight.
During an appearance on The Pivot Podcast on October 29th, the ex-president stated that there has been some intrusive media coverage (or paparazzi activities), which he finds frustrating because they (the subjects) don’t want that kind of attention.
Even though they had an unconventional upbringing, he continues to be impressed by how Malia, 26, and Sasha, 23, have stayed down-to-earth. He attributes this to both Michelle’s influence and the professionalism of the White House press corps who primarily focused on him rather than his daughters during his term in office.
As a child, I had a fairly positive relationship with the media, the 63-year-old explained. I struck a bargain with the press corps stationed at the White House, telling them, “You can trail me, discuss me, and do whatever you need. Just keep my kids out of it. They shouldn’t have to deal with this public life; they didn’t choose it. Let them live their own lives.” To their credit, the media respected my request and gave my children privacy.
For the 44th President and his wife, restoring a sense of normality was crucial since they were anxious that their children could become unusual if he pursued politics. Fortunately, this fear did not materialize.
“They’ve turned out amazing,” he gushed. “I can’t brag about them enough.”
The ex-politician also discussed Malia’s choice to abandon the Obama surname, preferring instead to identify solely with her middle name and be known as ‘Malia Ann’, as she steps into a career in the film industry with her directorial debut titled ‘The Heart‘.
He said, “I pointed out that people would recognize her, but she responded by saying she wanted the initial viewing experience to be untainted by any prior associations. It seems our daughters intentionally avoid using their famous connections for advantage.
In his words, the author of “A Promised Land” stated, “The difficulty lies in providing assistance to them at all. You see, they are particularly touchy on such matters. They are extremely resistant to accepting help.
