As a long-time fan of Adam Cole and his electrifying in-ring antics, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I saw him back in action on AEW Dynamite! After over 400 days away due to an unfortunate ankle injury, it was heartwarming to see him return with such grace and determination. His match against Buddy Matthews was a testament to his resilience, proving that he’s not only walked again but can still deliver a knockout performance.
On the latest episode of AEW Dynamite, Adam Cole came back to the ring after nearly a year-long absence due to an injury that necessitated surgery and an intense rehabilitation process, just to be able to walk again, let alone wrestle. Fans were thrilled to see him return and voiced their support as he challenged MJF, the current AEW World Champion who’s busy with various film projects in Hollywood. It seems that when MJF comes back, the “Better Than You Bay Bay” storyline will finally reach its conclusion.
In the battle against Buddy Matthews from The House of Black, Cole seemed unfazed and performed flawlessly. However, during the fight, he appeared to twist his ankle, which Matthews skillfully exploited. Remarkably, despite this injury, Cole emerged victorious from Cleveland, Ohio. Unfortunately, since his entrance into wrestling in 2021, fans haven’t had the chance to witness him at his best due to recurring injuries. However, he has recently shared an optimistic outlook on his future in wrestling, and this news is likely to bring joy to many AEW enthusiasts.
As a passionate gamer in the world of pro wrestling, I can confidently say that my dream is to see out my professional journey within AEW. To me, this feels like the right fit, and while you never know what twists and turns the road might take, I’m deeply rooted here. I adore our team, our leadership, and most importantly, our fans. This place has my heart completely, and for now, there’s no plan B in sight.

Cole gained popularity on the independent wrestling circuit during the 2010s, eventually catching the attention of WWE. Many remember his time in NXT’s “black and gold era” with great affection, as he helped launch a new wave of talented performers. However, instead of staying with WWE, Cole opted to join AEW, reuniting with his partner Britt Baker, fellow wrestlers from The Elite, and pursuing what ultimately became his dream role. In the same interview, Cole shared that he once thought he might hold the AEW World Championship title.
He shared that while he wasn’t completely certain, it appeared that I might be on track to claim the AEW World Championship. However, an injury derailed this trajectory, causing additional distress. Despite frequent obstacles, we must adapt and adjust. With a lot of my wrestling career still ahead, I certainly hope to win the AEW World title in the future.
