As a seasoned adventurer who has faced countless challenges across the realm, I can confidently say that mastering the art of strategic team composition is key to conquering Act 10’s formidable foe, Coppelius.
This season at Imaginarium Theater is the fifth one, now available in version 5.1. For this season’s production, only characters such as Pyro, Electro, Dendro, and Special Guest Stars are allowed to participate. Here’s a handy guide for selecting the appropriate characters and choosing events in the Imaginarium Theater competition.
Elements for Imaginarium Theater Version 5.1
For the upcoming season 3 of Imaginarium Theater, the featured characters will be Pyro, Electro, and Dendro. It’s essential to note that only characters with these specific elements are allowed (except for the Special Guests). The interactions you can anticipate with these characters include:
Fantastical Blessings for Imaginarium Theater V5.1
Once you’ve opened the Imaginarium Theater, the Seasonal Fantastic Boon will renew every season, providing bonuses for the Initial Characters. These advantages are applicable not just during Imaginarium Theater events but also in your escapades beyond the theater. Do take note that only the specified characters will receive these benefits!
Once Klee, Xinyan, Yae Miko, Dori, Tighnari, and Kirara have joined your team, you’ll notice a 20% boost in your maximum health (HP), attack power (ATK), and defense (DEF).
Opening Characters and Special Guests
In the Imaginarium Theater, the initial set of characters you receive upon starting is known as the Opening Characters. You have the option to either choose from the provided Starter Characters or create your own characters that surpass them in quality and have superior constellations. The Opening Characters for version 5.1 are as follows: Klee, Xinyan, Yae Miko, Dori, Tighnari, and Kirara (all with a code C0).
Characters labeled as “Special” can accompany your roster without adhering to the standard Elemental restrictions for that particular season. However, it’s important to note that there are no trial characters available for Special Guest Stars!

Imaginarium Theater Season 5 Guide
At the outset of the challenge, you’ll notice the “reaction level” displayed at the top. Once you engage with the Brilliant Blessings event, you have the opportunity to enhance the available reactions. However, remember that since the reactions are randomized, not every reaction can be upgraded freely.
This is an example of a Brilliant Blessing event. You can use 60 Fantasia Flowers to upgrade a reaction. Don’t underestimate it because these reactions will save your day, especially against bosses!
Act 1 – 3 | Jadeplume Terrorshroom
In the initial two acts, you’ll receive 6 Starting Characters. Your first boss battle will be against Jadeplume Terrorshroom, and it is suggested to face this opponent in its Activated state, which necessitates an Electro character. To achieve this, it’s advisable to select and enhance one Electro-related Blessing (Overload or Catalyze). The rationale for this choice will be clarified in Act 3.
As a seasoned gamer, let’s dive into selecting a Battle. To snatch the Star, all you need to do is overpower the opponent within the given timeframe. However, remember that the Star is merely for show and has no impact on your rewards.
As a gamer, I’d advise saving my top-tier characters – the ones I’ve been investing in with upgrades – for the initial boss fight. It’s a smart move to exhaust my lesser characters first, giving my main troops a chance to shine when it matters most.
1 | Select a reaction you want to be using the most when facing the boss in Act 3 (Overload or Catalyze) is the most recommended against Jadeplume Terrorshroom Upgrade said reactions when you have the events. |
2 | Spend the remaining Fantasia Flowers on Companion event so you’ll more characters in the roster. |
3 | Save the Main DPS (preferably Pyro character) and Support/Sub-DPS at least 1 Vigor for the boss battle in Act 3 |
For Act 3, you’ll encounter Jadeplume Terrorshroom. Make sure to bring your primary Damage Dealer (DPS) and Support characters that you’ve been saving for this fight. In my scenario, the main DPS is Tighnari, with significant assistance from Fischl and Yae Miko for their Catalyze/Quicken reactions.
During the boss battle, beneath its Health bar, you’ll notice a Fury meter. You can charge this Fury meter by using Electro attacks against it. When the meter is fully charged, the boss will transition into an Active phase.
When they’re down and out, give it your all, hoping to seal the victory in a single blow. If that doesn’t work, let them regain their strength, then repeat the process – build up your Fury gauge, wait for them to falter again, and keep attacking relentlessly.
Act 4 – 6 | Thunder Manifestation
From Act 4 and onwards, as you approach Act 6 where you’ll encounter Thunder Manifestation, consider who would be the ideal character and team for the boss battle. Thunder Manifestation maintains a persistent Electro state, making it simple to trigger Overload or Quicken reactions.
Feel free to begin enhancing other reactions if desired. If you’ve already maxed out one reaction, I suggest focusing on leveling up others now.
In Act 4, you’ll find a solitary Monolith Defense battle similar to those in Spiral Abyss. However, this time there’s no Anemo character available, making it difficult to cluster them together. Be mindful when choosing your challenge, and consider bringing along a single-target DPS if you don’t have any Anemo Crowd Control abilities. Keep retrying Act 4 until you encounter the Ruin Guard as the sole enemy. (I regret to inform you that I haven’t encountered this stage myself.)
1 | Choose Companion event until you have that one Main DPS for boss battle Thunder Manifestation. |
2 | If you already have the DPS you want, spend Fantasia Flowers for either more characters or upgrade other reactions you want. |
3 | Save the Main DPS and Support/Sub-DPS at least 1 Vigor for the boss battle in Act 6 |
In the climactic battle of Act 6 , you’ll encounter the Thunder Manifestation. To ensure a successful fight, it would be beneficial if you have upgraded the abilities that you will need for this battle, as suggested since Act 4 (or Act 1 if you are using the same abilities). Previously mentioned, Thunder Manifestation is perpetually in an Electro state, so consider bringing along Pyro or Dendro damage dealers to facilitate reactions smoothly (and Blessings).
This object hovers, making it tricky for close-combat characters to strike it, but they can still manage. The Thunder Manifestation will temporarily hover close to the ground, allowing melee characters to reach it. To maximize damage, save all your Bursts and unleash them during this period when you can spam them repeatedly.
To put it simply, the assaults can be effortlessly dodged, particularly if a teammate is providing shield support. Be extra cautious against specific attacks like the Wall of Lightning and the unofficially named Dive Bombs, as these inflict the greatest harm on your character.
- For the Wall of Lightning, you don’t have to run parallel to the walls or try to outrun those walls. Instead, dash through the wall when it gets close to you (you won’t take any damage since you gain I-frame if you time it correctly). This way, you can stay close to Thunder Manifestation and continue to deal damage until the last second the wall is near you.
When your supervisor is close to the arena’s border, it’s best to hold onto your Burst ability and instead use your Skills or any other abilities with quick recharge times. This is because the Thunder Manifestation usually teleports back to the arena’s center in a short while to resume its attack sequences.
Act 7 – 8 | Ruin Serpent
In Act 7, prepare your squad for the upcoming Act 8 – the Ruin Serpent. It’s recommended to have either Raiden Shogun or Xingqiu in your team as they are effective against this boss during its Ultimate charge. Therefore, keep an eye out for the Companion event and consider participating in the Mystery Caches event to potentially reacquire some of your characters who currently have no Vigor.
In the fight (Act 7), it’s just an ordinary skirmish with no unique mechanics to consider. So, feel free to select any battle that suits your current team the best.
1 | Select Companion event to get character for Ruin Serpent enemy. |
2 | Upgrade any reaction you want since any of them is okay with Ruin Serpent. |
3 | Save the Main DPS and Support/Sub-DPS at least 1 Vigor for the boss battle in Act 8. |
As a gamer, here’s my take on that: Alright, let me warn you about this upcoming boss battle. It’s not just the typical RNG (random number generation) attacks that make it tough, but what really gets me is its ability to burrow underground. My advice would be to rely solely on Skills for now and hold onto your Burst until it uses its Ultimate attack. That’s when you can stun or paralyze it, making it a bit more manageable. Good luck!
After three to five attacks from the Ruin Serpent, there may be occasions when it employs a spinning Bomb Barrage attack, revealing vulnerable spots in the process. There are four such weak spots that must be struck in order to immobilize this formidable creature, and indeed, it’s quite challenging.
For optimal results in dealing with a weak spot, consider using Xingqiu if you can time his actions perfectly. When the target begins spinning, position Xingqiu directly in front of it, then trigger his Skill for a high probability of hitting two weak spots. Follow up with his Burst to strike the remaining weak points. If your skill level isn’t enough or the boss spins too rapidly, an alternative choice could be Raiden Shogun. Activate her Skill as the boss starts spinning to hit two weak points. Continue attacking so her Skill can continue dealing Area of Effect Electro damage even when you’re out of range for the weak points, which will help you strike the remaining weak spots.
The last tip I can give is to use AoE attacks (Bursts) like Keqing, Alhaitham, etc. so they can deal numerous damage while also destroying the weak points.
Once all 4 weak points are destroyed, the Ruin Serpent will be temporarily paralyzed but only for around ~10 seconds only (which is pretty bad because it’s so short).
Act 9 – 10 | Icewind Suite: Nemesis of Coppelius
In Act 9, make sure to assemble an optimal team for Act 10. This is crucial because the final boss in the upcoming stage, Coppelius, frequently sets up a Cryo shield. The ideal characters for this situation would be either one Ousia character, who can destroy the shield with a single Arkhe attack, or two Pyro characters to melt that shield.
After establishing a team for Act 10, feel free to utilize the leftover character to create a team in Act 9. If the characters you have don’t seem to work well together, consider using the Companion event as it may grant you a more suitable character. If you already possess an ample number of characters, then use any remaining Fantasia Flowers for enhancements instead.
1 | Create the team for Act 10 beforehand. Then, use the leftover characters for Act 9. |
2 | If you don’t have the right DPS for Act 9, use Companion event to try and get a better character. |
3 | Once you have the right Main DPS (and team) for both Act 9 and 10, use the remaining Fantasia Flowers on Blessing event to upgrade reactions that you want to focus on in Act 10 (if the said reaction is not at Level 4 yet). |
For Coppelia/Coppelius, their attacks are a mix of Anemo and Cryo damage, which you can typically dodge in the open world or endure with a shield. However, pay special attention to Coppelius’s Climax. During this event, Coppelia and Coppelius will move towards the arena’s center and activate Climax: They’ll generate 3 Retributive Frosthearts that intermittently discharge Cryo blasts. These Frosthearts can’t be destroyed, so it’s best to disregard them and concentrate on Coppelius instead.
In the heart-pounding climax, I’ll temporarily acquire a Cryo shield. This shield can take regular damage from Elemental Reactions, but it shatters instantly upon being struck by an Ousia attack. If I manage to get hit by three Ousia attacks during a single climactic round, the action will be interrupted, and Coppelius will be momentarily stunned.
