Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns – Ghostface Gameplay Features Lots of Stabbing

As a seasoned gamer with decades of blood, sweat, and pixels under my belt, I must say that the latest addition to Mortal Kombat 1’s roster, Ghostface, is an exhilarating twist! Growing up on a diet of slasher movies, I can’t help but feel a strange sense of nostalgia. The way NetherRealm Studios has managed to capture Ghostface’s essence, from his sadistic personality to his iconic lines, is nothing short of impressive.

The most recent character to join the lineup for Mortal Kombat 1 is Ghostface from Scream. This character will be accessible on November 19th, ahead of time for those who have purchased the Khaos Reigns Bundle/Kollection expansion pack. We’ve already seen some of his distinctive masks, but a new gameplay preview by creator Ed Boon showcases how Ghostface engages in combat. A hint: It includes excessive stabbing.

In terms of Ghostface’s character, it’s logical that his gameplay focuses on another entity stepping in to aid in combos. At the very least, NetherRealm successfully portrayed his sadistic nature, yet also infused humor throughout (as demonstrated in the initial exchange with Johnny Cage, featuring his well-known catchphrase).

On November 26th, Ghostface will become accessible to every player. Upcoming characters joining the Kombat Pack 2 include the T-1000 from “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” and “Conan the Barbarian,” but their release dates have yet to be announced.
