What you need to know
- Microsoft Rewards is a free program that gives you points for engaging with Microsoft products and services.
- Today, I got an email detailing a new sweepstakes program, which is by far the most generous I’ve seen from Microsoft Rewards.
- You can enter to win up to $1,000,000 USD just for searching with Bing instead of Google, installing Microsoft Edge, and other simple tasks.
- Sadly, the sweepstakes are only valid in the United States and Puerto Rico, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany.
As a seasoned tech enthusiast and long-time member of the Microsoft ecosystem, I can confidently say that the latest offering from Microsoft Rewards has me genuinely excited. Being someone who already spends a significant amount of time on Bing for my daily searches, using Edge as my browser, and occasionally dabbling in Xbox Game Pass, this new $1 million sweepstakes feels like a golden opportunity to turn my passive digital habits into cold, hard cash.
Microsoft Rewards is asking if you’d like to accumulate a substantial amount of money with minimal effort. Interested? If so, here’s your chance!
Microsoft Rewards is a program that offers points to users who interact with Microsoft products and offerings. By opting for Bing instead of Google, using Microsoft Edge over Chrome, playing games on Xbox Game Pass, or purchasing apps and services from the Microsoft Store, you can accumulate these points. Once you’ve built up your points, you have the option to exchange them for a variety of rewards. Personally, I frequently use my points to acquire Diablo 4 battle passes and Overwatch 2 coins, among other things. Additionally, there are vouchers available for multiple stores, such as Microsoft’s, enabling you to essentially get Xbox Game Pass for yourself or someone else at no cost.
Currently, Microsoft is launching a fresh $1,000,000 sweepstakes contest! One fortunate winner stands to become an instant millionaire (or slightly less after taxes). To join the fray, simply register at the Microsoft Rewards $1 Million Sweepstakes webpage. For signing up, you’ll receive 5 chances to win right away. You can amass up to 200 entries by completing tasks outlined on the site, as detailed therein.
As a tech enthusiast, one of my duties includes setting up Microsoft Edge as my default browser and Bing as my go-to search engine. By doing so, I can effortlessly earn up to 200 entries daily, just by browsing the web as usual – no extra tasks needed! This way, I’m optimizing my efforts and making the most of those passive entries.
Regrettably, this contest has a limited geographical reach, as it’s only open to residents in select countries such as the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. A single winner will receive a massive prize of one million dollars, while two lucky runners-up will be awarded ten thousand dollars each. Microsoft is generously donating up to half a million dollars between the World Wildlife Fund and Unicef. This contribution is accumulated from $5 for every participant who surpasses 50 entries.

Microsoft Rewards is pretty damn good
As a devoted fan, let me share my excitement about Microsoft Rewards! It’s fantastic, especially if you’re already immersed in the Microsoft universe. Activities like casually searching on Bing, browsing with Edge, or enjoying games on Xbox Game Pass can earn you thousands of points effortlessly. Just now, I checked my Microsoft Rewards account and found I’ve accumulated 66,000 points without any conscious effort! For perspective, three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate usually cost 35,000 points. The more you engage with Microsoft Rewards, the more rewards you receive – for instance, I currently have a 7000 points discount (equivalent to approximately $60) just for reaching “Level 2.” Essentially, I’m getting rewarded for activities I was already doing!
The rewards page details the variety of methods you can use to earn points. You can cash them in on the Xbox app on Android and iOS too, which accumulate via playing games and earning achievements and other things of that nature. If you’re already in the Microsoft ecosystem, there’s absolutely no reason not to sign up and use it. If you’re an avowed Google and Chrome user, you should know that for the most part, Bing is a completely viable search engine for most day-to-day searches. It struggles a bit on granular, obscure, and local searches, but for popular search terms, it’s basically on par with Google these days. Microsoft Edge is also powered by Chrome under the hood, too, so there’s no real difference between using the two.
“You have the opportunity to register for Microsoft Rewards at no cost, using the same Microsoft account you might use for Xbox or Windows.
