In the United States, the second season of The Walking Dead featuring Daryl Dixon has already concluded its run. With the UK broadcast date of the finale approaching swiftly, a sneak peek at the upcoming third season has been unveiled.
The teaser not only offers clues about Norman Reedus’s Daryl and Melissa McBride’s Carol’s future, but it also provides a sneak peek into Stephen Merchant’s as-yet-unrevealed character.
The sneak peek also unveils that season 3 is set to drop within the year 2025, implying that fans won’t need to endure a prolonged absence before revisiting the undead-plagued continent of Europe.
In the preview, Daryl can be heard stating, “I was on the verge of giving up, thinking everything had ended.” To this, Carol replies sympathetically, “We’ve both felt that way.

It seems like part of the story might unfold in England, judging from the trailer. This could be the location where the merchant’s character gets involved.
Apart from Daryl Dixon’s return in The Walking Dead franchise, another series coming back is Dead City, with a new season. This series features Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who will be playing their characters Maggie and Negan, roles they previously portrayed in the original show.
