As a movie enthusiast with a soft spot for historical dramas and adaptations of classic literature, this news about Emma Corrin potentially playing Elizabeth Bennet in a new Pride and Prejudice series has me positively giddy! Having been deeply moved by her poignant portrayal of Princess Diana in The Crown, I can only imagine the depth and nuance she would bring to the complex character of Elizabeth Bennet.

Reports indicate that Emma Corrin, best recognized as Princess Diana in The Crown, is being considered for the role of Elizabeth Bennet in an upcoming Netflix adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.

In October of this year, it became known that a fresh adaptation of Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice” is currently under development for streaming on Netflix. The initiative originates from the production company Lookout Point, with Dolly Alderton, renowned for her work on “Everything I Know About Love,” penning the script.

According to a report by Deadline, the project remains under development and there’s a possibility it won’t be released for public viewing.

Currently, The Sun is stating that actress Corrin, fresh from her role as Cassandra Nova in Deadpool & Wolverine, has been approached by Alderton to portray Elizabeth Bennet in an upcoming production.
