Moonflower Murders confirms UK air date for Lesley Manville’s second season

As a devoted fan who has eagerly followed the intricate mysteries of Magpie Murders, I can hardly contain my excitement as the UK air date for Moonflower Murders has finally been announced! After what feels like an eternity of waiting, Susan Ryeland and our beloved Atticus Pünd will once again captivate us with their wit, charm, and knack for solving the most confounding of puzzles.

In simpler terms, the American audience has already watched the second series of the popular detective program titled “Moonflower Murders,” while UK fans are still anticipating its release to continue following Susan Ryeland and the character Atticus Pünd.

Thankfully, they don’t have to wait too much longer, as the UK air date has now been confirmed.

The new season commences on BBC One and BBC iPlayer with a pair of episodes showing simultaneously at 9:15 pm and 10:20 pm on Saturday, 16th November.

The upcoming season, derived from the second book in Anthony Horowitz’s Susan Ryeland series, continues the story from where Magpie Murders ended. In this continuation, Susan is no longer in the publishing industry but instead resides on the Greek island of Crete with her long-term companion, Andreas.

The summary for the season indicates: “A peaceful life of ours is disrupted by the lingering specter of a murder that took place at a picturesque British inn eight years prior. A man named Alan Conway had stayed there, written a book about the events, and it seems the wrong person may have been accused. The hotel’s assistant manager, Cecily Treherne, read the book and shares this belief, but she has now mysteriously vanished.

“Can Susan uncover the secret hidden in the book and find Cecily before it is too late?”

In addition, Lesley Manville, Tim McMullan, Alexandros Logothetis, Daniel Mays, Claire Rushbrook, Conleth Hill, Matthew Beard, and Sanjeev Kohli will all be rejoining the cast.

In addition, four new actors have been added to the cast for Moonflower Murders: Mark Gatiss, Rosalie Craig, Pippa Bennett-Warner, and Adrian Rawlins.

Earlier this year, a sneak peek at the upcoming season was unveiled, during which Susan encountered an unexpected return by Atticus when she was in Crete. (or) In early this year, a brief preview for the new season was shown, where Susan found herself surprised to run into Atticus again while on her trip to Crete.

Moonflower Murders kicks off with a double-bill at 9:15pm and 10:20pm on Saturday 16th November on BBC One.
