Wolverine Kills Deadpool — And Gets Brutal Revenge on One of the X-Men

As a gamer who has spent countless hours immersed in the X-Men universe, I must say that this latest chapter in Wolverine: Revenge has been nothing short of exhilarating. The raw brutality and emotional turmoil portrayed in these pages have brought the characters to life like never before.

In the comic book series “Wolverine: Revenge” #3, penned by Jonathan Hickman (known for “Ultimate Spider-Man”) and Greg Capullo (renowned for “Batman”), we find ourselves in a world post-Magneto’s catastrophic EMP blast that claimed over 100 million lives. The X-Men are no more, and the only word Wolverine has for his adversaries is a distinctive sound: “SNIKT“.

In a turn of events, Colossus declared that one side must lose, and on this day, it was the West. He pointed his finger at an old friend, Deadpool, who triggered explosives in the chests of Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes, blew up Wolverine, and effectively ended the world with the S.E.E.D.

By employing Forge’s mutant neutralizer, Wolverine successfully stripped Sabretooth of his powers and defeated him. Subsequently, he journeyed to Russia only to discover the power source was malfunctioning. He eliminated Omega Red there and found Deadpool standing on a burning cooling tower. In a heartfelt confession, Deadpool revealed that the reactor was leaking radioactive waste.

Deadpool initially decided to take his own life by jumping into a reactor, but reconsidered when he assumed Wolverine was there for a thrilling team-up reminiscent of their comic book series. “Is it realistic to think someone like us could ever be pardoned?” Wolverine inquired, to which Deadpool responded negatively. In the end, Wolverine shoved Deadpool into the reactor, overpowering his healing abilities, and the final sound heard was a scream from Deadpool.
