As a seasoned gamer with years of Call of Duty under my belt, I must admit that the Separation Anxiety puzzle in Black Ops 6 took me by surprise. I’ve seen my fair share of puzzles and Easter eggs in these games, but this one had a unique charm to it.
In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s Separation Anxiety mission, you’ll have to figure out a mystery to retrieve the initial mirror fragment.
The puzzle functions as a treasure hunt for finding three specific numbers, which then grants the player permission to open a wooden box.
Luckily, you have the option to skip the puzzle and jump right into entering the code, should that be your preference.
As we’re nearly at the end of the game, it makes sense if you simply want to complete this mission and move on to the final stage.

How to solve the Separation Anxiety puzzle in Black Ops
Three distinct spots will be indicated by the guidance symbols: a desk, a display case filled with trophies, and an area set up for a tea gathering. At each location, you’ll find a hint to help decipher the puzzle and uncover the three-digit code needed.
Desk clue
The note on the desk indicates, “Striving diligently and yearning for success. Constantly aiming for the top marks.” Since each test’s maximum score is nine, the initial number is nine.
Scout clue
Following the scout’s hint, I discovered a trophy case brimming with accolades. The clue read, “Count each one and we’re off to a start. Subtract the badges from the trophies, that’s where your victory starts.
In this case, you should determine the total number of badges and trophies. Since there are 6 trophies and 5 badges, the difference between the two amounts to 1 (6-5 equals 1). So, the next number you’ll encounter is a one.
Tea party clue
As a movie buff, I find myself ushered into a rather eerie tea party setting. Pushing aside my initial unease, I focus on the next intriguing clue: “They attended this tea party, chatting amicably. Count the number of guests and double it.
Four people in all, so if you multiply by two, it totals eight. That’s the amount required to head off and unlock the chest.

Head to the wooden box adorned with a heart on the front and pop in the code 918.
You have the freedom to either solve the puzzle or skip it altogether, as there’s an option for you to input the code and proceed straight away.
