WWE To Host a Celebration for the New Day’s 10th Anniversary

As a lifelong fan who’s seen more than my fair share of tag teams come and go, I can confidently say that the New Day is one of the most entertaining and impactful duos in WWE history. Their 10-year anniversary is a testament to their resilience, camaraderie, and undeniable talent.

This week, WWE Raw’s general manager Adam Pearce announced that the red brand will pay tribute to a future WWE Hall of Fame tag team, the New Day. Consisting of Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods, these nine-time Tag Team Champions are marking their 10th anniversary towards the end of this month. The group made their first appearance on SmackDown on November 25th, 2014, taking on Curtis Axel, Heath Slater, and Titus O’Neil.

Over here, I couldn’t help but feel the need to chat with both of you, but lo and behold, you’re present! It’s a decade now since New Day graced the WWE scene. Time for a celebration, my friends. You two are among the most honored tag teams in WWE history. If I may, I’d like to make this week’s episode of Raw all about saluting you. Hope you’re okay with that!

Although specific details haven’t been revealed yet, given the New Day’s achievements in WWE’s contemporary era, it wouldn’t be unexpected for Big E to join forces with his fellow stablemates once more. Not only do they excel as a threesome, but they also boast multiple singles titles, further cementing their impressive legacy.

Since 2022, Big E has been sidelined due to a regrettable neck injury that effectively ended his wrestling career. Although there’s speculation about a potential comeback in the future, he doesn’t hold much optimism about it. Instead, he’s been actively pursuing opportunities outside of wrestling, such as roles in various Hollywood productions.

After Woods and Kingston left, they’ve maintained their stronghold and even secured the NXT Tag Team Championships the previous year. However, in 2024, a sense of doubt has emerged among the remaining team members. Over the past few months, palpable tension has arisen, causing fans to speculate if there might be trouble in paradise.

For over 10 years, they’ve cooperatively pursued individual careers while still staying together, but a full separation has never been an option. Given their accomplishments as a duo in WWE, it would certainly be intriguing to witness them compete against each other instead.

How would you like to see The New Day celebrated in WWE? I’d love to hear your thoughts on X and Bluesky @haleyanne_! Remember to keep an eye on ComicBook for the latest WWE news.
