Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, Elden Ring, and Gundam Breaker 4 Net Huge Profits for Bandai Namco

As a lifelong fan of Bandai Namco games, I’ve witnessed countless thrilling battles, explored countless worlds, and cheered for my favorite characters through thick and thin. So, when I saw the latest financial reports revealing the staggering success of their titles, it filled me with a sense of nostalgic joy that only a fellow veteran gamer could understand!

As I sat down to play some of the latest games from Bandai Namco, I couldn’t help but feel excited after learning about their impressive financial performance for the first half of fiscal year 2025. Not only did they report a massive 21.8% increase in net sales compared to last year, but their profits skyrocketed an astounding 188%! It’s clear that Bandai Namco is doing something right, and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for gamers like me in the second half of the year.

According to GameBiz’s report (translated by Automaton-Media), “Elden Ring” and the latest “Shadow of the Erdtree” are doing exceptionally well for the publisher. What’s even more noteworthy is “Gundam Breaker 4”, which had a robust debut, and “Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO“, despite being outside the reported period, managed to sell over three million units within its first 24 hours of release.

Titles like “Dragon Ball” and “One Piece” from the same company saw impressive global earnings. During this timeframe, their operating profit surged by 73.6% compared to the previous year, amounting to approximately 1,136.7 billion yen. Similarly, the ordinary profit increased by 56.3%, totaling around 1,155.5 billion yen. Net profit also saw a significant rise of 54.7%, reaching 80.727 billion yen compared to last year’s figures.

It’s exciting to anticipate how the remainder of this fiscal year will unfold as we approach the releases of “Synduality: Echo of Ada, Tales of Graces f Remastered” and “Freedom Wars Remastered”. Keep an eye out for further announcements.
