A former star from “Parks & Recreation” honored the renowned music producer who was famous for crafting hits with iconic artists such as Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, and Aretha Franklin, after his passing on November 3rd. He reminisced about a touching memory of joining him in late-night songwriting sessions during his childhood.
In a post on Instagram dated November 7th, Rashida shared that as a child, she often woke up during the night to find where he was hiding. Without fail, he could always be found somewhere in the house, engrossed in his work (the traditional way, using a pen and sheet music).

Rashida concluded her message by reflecting on her close bond with the prolific musician.
She also mentioned, “I’ll truly miss the warmth of his embraces and kisses, his boundless affection, and his wise counsel.” Adding, “Father, it’s a privilege to be your child. Your love endures eternally.
At the age of 91, Quincy sadly breathed his last at his residence in Bel Air, California. This was confirmed by his representative, Arnold Robinson, to NBC News, with the news being shared among his children, siblings, and immediate family members who were all present.

Among them are 28 Grammy awards, an Emmy, and a Tony – each one a testament to my passion for music and storytelling. According to a statement shared with NBC News, his family expressed deep satisfaction and honor knowing that the warmth and happiness which defined him were spread globally through everything he produced. In essence, they said, his music and boundless affection ensure his spirit continues to live forever.
