As a die-hard fan, I am absolutely thrilled about Jimmy Fallon’s latest endeavor! The man never fails to surprise us with his innovative ideas and infectious energy. His friendship with Justin Timberlake is iconic, and their collaboration on the “Holiday Seasoning” album is the cherry on top of an already delicious holiday treat.
Jimmy Fallon wants the holidays to be filled with laughs and love from all places.
Since he needed some extra help, the host of the Tonight Show decided to ask for favors and enlist his longtime friend Justin Timberlake for his upcoming musical comedy album titled “Holiday Seasoning”. This project also features collaborations with renowned artists such as Dolly Parton, Ariana Grande, and Megan Thee Stallion.
Jimmy revealed to TopMob News in October that everyone could use a heartwarming “bromance” Christmas tune. So, he decided to create one himself.
The former Saturday Night Live star, who is married to Nancy Juvonen and has two daughters, Winnie (11) and Frances (9), wanted to emphasize that the song particularly highlighted his bond with the N*SYNC member.
Essentially, he was expressing his longing for Justin Timberlake around the holiday season. He would reach out to him, saying something like “Where are you? I need you there with me,” but didn’t receive a call back. However, it all ended on a positive note. (Don’t forget to catch Jimmy’s full interview tonight on TopMob News at 11 p.m.)
Besides the idea, the entire song’s creation process is also enjoyable. Justin mentioned earlier that the recording session for this album track, which you can buy from stores right now, was an extended period of hilarity due to them “laughing until they cried.
During an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in September, Justin remarked that the [recording] session likely would have lasted just two to three hours. However, it ended up taking eight or even nine hours instead.
We recorded the track at Electric Lady,” he said, aged 43, ” frankly, we weren’t worthy of recording this song in such a renowned, globally acclaimed studio.
For his part, Jimmy was just as floored to be in such a historic space.
He playfully questioned, “So, what’s the topic here? This is a top-notch tune,” he quipped, followed by, “I used to look up to these legends and now I find myself among them. Justin, I never thought I’d be part of this!
